Augusto Miranda da Paz Júnior Chairman of the Board
Augusto Miranda da Paz Junior, Chairman of the Board – Mr. Miranda is Equatorial’s CEO since 2015 and CEMAR‘s CEO since April 2010. From 2007 to 2010 he was Vice President Officer of Operations and previously was CEMAR‘s Engineering Officer since July 2004. Mr. Miranda is an experienced executive with over 20 years in the energy sector. Before joining CEMAR, Mr. Miranda has held several positions in the areas of Electric System Maintenance Management in COELBA being also representative of COELBA next to CCON. Mr. Miranda is an electrical engineer graduated from Federal University of Bahia, specializing in Maintenance Management promoted by Eletrobrás alongside PUC/RJ and the Escola Federal de Engenharia de Itajubá/MG and MBA in Energy Business Management from FGV/SP.
Augusto Dantas Borges Board Member
Augusto Dantas Borges, Board Member – Degree in Electrical Engineering from PUC- MG. Worked at Coelba between 2002 and 2008 where he was Commercial Associate and Service Manager. In 2008, already in CEMAR, he was Commercial Manager and Relationship Executive, later becoming Energy Recovery Manager. In 2012, he was appointed Celpa’s Executive Officer.
Humberto Luis Queiroz Nogueira Board Member
Humberto Luis Queiroz Nogueira, Board Member – Mr. Nogueira was appointed CEMAR‘s Execuive Officer in August, 2016 and Equatorial‘s in August, 2017. Has been working within the Group since 2005, where he managed the Logistic and Suppliers Departament of Equatorial, and the Operations and SAP Project of CEMAR. Before entering the group, Mr. Nogueira worked at Oi/Telemar from 1987 until 2005. Graduated by UNIFACS.
Humberto Soares Filho Board Member
Humberto Soares Filho, Board Member – Mr. Soares was elected Chief Financial Officer of CEMAR in November 2012, position he held until August, 2016, when he was appointed CFO at CELPA. Between October 2011 and October 2012, he was CFO and IRO at Unidas. Formerly, he was Administrative and Financial Manager at CEMAR between April 2008 and March 2011, and controller until September 2011. Mr. Soares also has experience in administrative and financial departments of the Dental Center Dental Clinic Ltda. and Ponto Frio Alimentos SA. Mr. Soares holds a degree in Economics from IBMEC and MBA in Electricity Business Management by FGV.
Leonardo da Silva Lucas Tavares de Lima Board Member
Leonardo da Silva Lucas Tavares de Lima, Board Member – Mr. Tavares de Lima is CELPA‘s Chief Financial Officer (CFO) since November, 2012. Before that, he was CEMAR‘s CFO as from April, 2011 and October, 2012, having been CEMAR Head Controller. He is working within Equatorial Group since 2005. Before joining CEMAR, Leonardo worked at Telemar Norte Leste, ABN Amro, URB – Empresa de Urbanização de Recife and at Shell Brasil. Graduated at Civil Engineering by Universidade de Pernambuco, postgraduate at Production Management and MBA in Electric Energy Business Management, by FGV (Fundação Getúlio Vargas).
Sérvio Túlio dos Santos Board Member
Sérvio Túlio dos Santos, Board Member – Graduated in Electric Energy by the UFPB (1986), with specialization in Digital Technology by the UFBA and MBA in Business Management by FGV. Has held several managerial positions in Neoenergia Distribution Companies: COELBA (1986-2001) and CELPE (2001-2005). Has been CELPA‘s Distribution Head Officer (2012-2013). Within CEMAR, has worked at the following departments: Technical (2005-06), Maintenance (2007-08), Light For All Program (2008-11), Expansion (2011-12) and Operations (2014-15).

Ailton Costa Ferreira Executive Officer
Mr. Ailton has served as Director of Implementation and Operation and Maintenance of Equatorial Transmission since December 2016. Prior to assuming his duties at the Equatorial Group, Mr. Ailton worked for 13 years at Isolux Group, serving as Technical Director, Chief Executive Officer. General, Consultant and Counselor, being responsible for various areas of transmission operation. He was Technical Director of Business Development at ABB ASEA BROWN BOVERI for 9 years, and before that he held the position of Commercial Manager and Deputy Commercial Director at SBE – Sociedade Brasileira de Electrifica SA and Chief Engineer at SADE – Sul Americana de Engenharia . Mr. Ailton Ferreira is an electrical engineer graduated from the Pontifical Catholic University of Minas Gerais (PUC-MG) with specialization in economic engineering from PUC-MG, specialist in reducing power system losses from ABB Ludvika (Sweden), and in Operation and maintenance of high and extra high voltage transmission systems by Eletrobras Furnas.
Joseph Zwecker Junior Executive Officer
Joseph Zwecker Junior, Executive Officer – Mr. Joseph has been in the group since November 2016, as head of Equatorial Transmissão. Between 2013 and 2016, he was an Executive Officer at ATP Engenharia developing energy projects in Africa. He has also been the Manager for M&A and New Businesses in Neoenergia. His professional experience includes coordinating teams to participate in transmission and generation auctions held by ANEEL; implementation and construction auditing of substations and transmission lines; negotiating and managing supply contracts for materials and services; prospection, developing, negotiating and implementing new projects in the electric energy sector; developing wind farms, hydro plants, bio, diesel and solar energy plants.
Waldênio Pereira de Oliveira Executive Officer
Mr. Waldênio Oliveira has served as Director of Institutional Relations at Equatorial Transmission since January 2018. Prior to assuming his duties at Equatorial Mr. Waldênio Oliveira worked for 32 years at Companhia Energética de Pernambuco-CELPE, now part of the Neoenergia Group, where He held management positions in several areas of this company, including Transmission Electrical Systems Planning, Engineering Department, Quality Inspection Department, Materials Contracting Department and Substation and Transmission Lines Construction Department. He was a technical consultant in the area of renewable energy for Queiroz Galvão Energias Renováveis and ATP Energy Solutions. He’s an electrical engineer graduated from the Federal University of Pernambuco and postgraduate from the Federal University of Itajubá.
